I was approached by friends and owners of this thriving Thornbury business to paint the interior and exterior of their newest location in Meaford, ON. They also asked if I would be interested in painting the mural that was meant as a feature wall and massive focal point to the new space. I immediately said yes. It was my first mural but I was confident I could deliver what they were asking. Colours were custom mixed to match the design perfectly and honestly, that was probably the hardest part. Well, maybe getting the scale correct was a bit of a struggle, but once I nailed that it was super easy. I used a projector to cast the design onto the wall and sketched it out using a selection of hard and soft lead pencils. Choosing the right brushes (and using a lot of tape) was key to getting those super straight lines. For the lettering I used Liquitex paint markers to get the outline nice and sharp!
